Dante Nose WIP

so, upon being asked to be Dante for an anime convention this summer my first response was but his nose his so giant and MANLY! my nose is rather... not. So the sculptor in me said screw that I want a giant manly Dante nose for this Con! So today I did a casting of my nose in Alginate with is what they use at the dentist to make molds of your teeth. Then i did a casting from that in plaster to get the positive of my nose.
And after that i got some plasticine and created the green nose on the right.

There is still much work to be done, from this i must alas make a third mold which will be the negative of the nose shape i want (in plaster) this mold I will fill with liquid latex after soaking it in water to make it not porous so the latex wont stick to it. To make the new nose solid I will use a second mold of my nose to set into it and the space between will be the correct shape to fit over my nose.

In reality this probably will look silly and i wont actually wear it to the con, but on the small off chance that i can make it work it would be great.
